Why is a certificate important?

A diamond report gives an independant expert opinion as to a diamonds characteristics, colour, clarity, cut, etc, however there are certain characteristics that are subjective and it is important to ask your jeweller for help in explaining the relevance of these characteristics in the diamond you are considering purchasing.
